“ We were excited to be able to enjoy today's special brunch at the Old Yarmouth Inn. They only offer brunch on some special occasion weekends, so it was a treat to partake. Despite awful weather, we made our way there, and were warmly greeted by the hostess and owner. Our table was perfect. The OYM has several dining areas-- the spacious main dining room; the cozy, festive tavern; and, a smaller dining room in the front that harkens to the history that is a vital part of this marvelous property. Today's brunch included scrumptious omelettes made to order, Eggs Benedict with delicious Hollandaise sauce, perfectly prepared beef tenderloin, ham, their excellent macaroni and cheese casserole, shrimp cocktail, a marvelous assortment of salads, salmon & cream cheese on rye toast, and a bountiful dessert table, featuring absolutely fabulous cream brûlée cheesecake and many other delicious sweet treats. Our server was extremely attentive and friendly, as were the other members of their team. Even though the Sunday brunch is now only served once in a while, we have also visited for dinner in the past few months, and everything was excellent. The "new" (not-so-new now) owner is clearly very committed to insuring that his diners enjoy a wonderful dining experience, and his attention to maintaining the high quality of the Old Yarmouth Inn is evident in all that he is doing. “ This is our 3rd visit to the Old Yarmouth Inn. People are always friendly from the host desk right to the servers. The menu has good variation from seafood to steak with good comfort food mixed in. The food quality is very consistent and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is dated but not old just the choice of decor. The crowd is more senior and of a good ilk. The tables are spread out nicely and very comfortable. Prices are mid level in line with other restaurants in their echelon. Overall it's alway a good evening and we walk away with a good experience. It is not our go to but we will go back for sure. ”
“ We ordered take out as my mom was just recovering from surgery and we were unable to go out to eat. Our expectation was low considering the typical transport fatigue and condensation you would expect during a delivery experience. We were pleasantly surprised as the meals that we all received were incredible!! Despite it being take out, nothing was compromised and the flavor profile was outstanding. 10/10 on our experience all around from the order taking over the phone to the pick up and the end result. “ Our evening in the tavern room was fantastic from start to finish. Fresh ingredients and huge portions served piping hot. Tasty cocktails and a great wine list. And the service couldn't have been better... Our table's choices, all excellent: --Brussel sprouts with bacon (special app) --Coconut shrimp app --sole piccata --house salad with roasted salmon --fish and chips --cheesburger On an early Sunday evening, the place was packed, so reservations are a good idea--you can choose between the main dining room (more formal) or the tavern room (with the bar and fireplace). ”
“ Last night I had an amazing dinner experience at Old Yarmouth Inn. The food was fantastic, and our server was really nice and accomodating. I sent the beef back to get reheated since it was redder than I expected. It's my own preference, so nothing the chef did wrong. The restaurant had a large parking lot outside, and still seated us 45 minutes before they closed. I wasn't too optimistic that they'd take us when searching their closing time online, but I'm really glad I was able to eat the amazing food that Old Yarmouth Inn had. Ambiance was not loud at all, even though the place was practivally packed. The manager and waitress checked on us often and made sure we were well attended for. Definitely coming back the next time I visit cape cod! ”
“ Old Yarmouth Inn is a quaint dining establishment, both elegant and comfortable. Linen tablecloths, live flowers and a very personable staff. We were on the Cape for a family event and decided to pop in here for dinner on a Friday night. Fortunately, this was in March and not during season. We didn't have reservations but were greeted promptly and the manager discussed who our server should be with the host stand based on the server's current workload. We were seated and as we were perusing the menu's my wife and I both liked a selection from the early dine special. The only catch ... you had to order by 5:45 and it was 5:42. Our server flexed with it and was very gracious (had she said "no", I would have understood). She took our drink orders and when she returned, we ordered dinner. I had a local Cape Cod red beer (which was on draft). We shared some fresh, warm bread while we waited for our soup/salad. My wife raved about her salad. I had the Lobster bisque which was very tasty. They added a bit of pepper to it so it had a very small bite. My wife had the chicken piccata. She loved it. I had the baked seafood trio (Shrimp, Scallops and Haddock). Outstanding! For dessert my wife had the House Made Apple Cranberry Crumble. Another home run. I had the Key Lime Pie. Really good. This was an epic meal and experience. Great location. Outstanding service and excellent food. ”
